A brilliant bookworm with a penchant desire to understand and master Aether Manipulation in all existing professions, Lalamune Zazamune (Zaz' for short) is an ideal ally for those lacking in booksmarts, or desiring a more applied theory. Or, for those simply interested in his natural gift of Aethersight.
Aethersight
In the history of Eorzea, very few have grasped the technique of Aethersight. Some are capable of it through the blessing of Hydaelyn via the Echo. Others manifest it as a passive concentrated spell, at the gradual cost of their own life expectancy.
Zaz', however, was born with the gift through a genetic combination during conception, and a long-lost genome from a Belah'dian ancestor.
This gift does not tax him overly so as the previously-mentioned magic does, being a genetic product and what-not. But the manifestation gives the incorrect illusion that he is blind, and while it allows him to see the fabric of Aether as it is woven around him, there is no known method to mute or muddle it temporarily, rendering him vulnerable to visual Aether-sickness from potentially "loud" amounts of Aether, or overly active amounts.
Being a bookworm by nature, most any topic revolving around the studies of some sort are like to grab his attention - be it mundane or magical, Zaz' never skips brain-day.
Zaz' is always interested to meet more book-based buds. Fellow Scholars, aspiring Summoners, or even novice Arcanists fresh from Mealvaan will have this boy's undivided appreciation - assuming they're not completely full of themselves in his presence.
Zaz' has spent ten years pursuing a higher education of the Sharlayan variety. It was no cheap or easy pursuit, but any who have recently attended should remember him. His memory of them, however, may be lacking, due to the majority of his focus being on his major - Aetheric Manipulation, of all forms.
